These are cross appeals from a judgment in a derivative action brought by minority stockholders of New York Transit Company.
New York Transit Company was one of a group of four companies operating a continuous pipe-line system for the transportation of crude oil from western Indiana to Buffalo, New York. The system was commonly known as the “ Northern Group ” of pipe-line companies. The portion of the system in Ohio and Michigan was operated by the Buckeye Pipe Line Company.
