I. Nature of the Case

Patricia Shelton (“Shelton”) filed suit asserting breach of contract and legal malpractice based on an alleged breach of an attorney-client relationship and contingency fee agreement. During the pendency of this action, Shelton passed away. Lois Bishop (“Bishop”) sought to assert Shelton’s claims as her personal representative. R.
