Superior Distributing Company and Aggressive Yacht Sails Company appeal from a final judgment holding that they had infringed appellee Stearn’s patent for structural and non-structural multi-grooved units for use in changing sailboat jibs. The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan found claims 1, 5, 6, 8 and 11 of the patent in suit, U.S. No. 3,851,609 [hereinafter ’609 patent] valid and infringed.
