William H. Roberts appeals from an order of the Alameda County Superior Court quashing service of summons and dismissing his complaint for personal injuries. Appellant, who is domiciled in California, brought the present action against the Captain Shreve Hotel, of Shreveport, Louisiana, claiming that he suffered personal injuries as a result of negligent maintenance of the hotel. Appellant also sued respondent Home Insurance Company, the hotel’s liability insurance carrier, under a Louisiana statute which permits an injured party to sue directly the insurer of the alleged…
