Plaintiff Nicole Basile has sued Defendant Prometheus Global Media, LLC for defamation per se (Count I) and false light (Count II) under Illinois law. Defendant has moved for a judgment on the pleadings, arguing that Plaintiffs defamation per se and false light claims fail because the allegedly defamatory statements can be given an innocent construction.
