The Equitable Mortgage Company brought suit against Parker M. Bomar upon two promissory notes, one being for the principal sum due and the other being an interest coupon note. Both notes were payable to the order of the plaintiff. When the notes were offered in evidence by the plaintiff upon the trial, the following entry appeared upon the back of the principal note:. “American Loan and Trust Company, trustee for debenture-holders under agreement with Equitable Mortgage Company, October 15, 1896. Equitable Mortgage Company, by Chas. B. Hobbs, assistant treasurer.” The defendant objected to…
