Woods v. Desmond

W. M. Doub began the foreclosure of a number of chattel mortgages by notice and sale in the sheriff’s office of Pierce county. M. J. Woods, the mortgagor, began an action in the superior court to transfer the foreclosure to that court, restrain the sale of the property covered by the mortgages, and also sought damages for conversion. Doub answered the complaint and by cross-complaint sought foreclosure of the mortgages.
