The trustee in Bankruptcy of D. C. Sullivan & Co., Inc., (“Sullivan Company”) brought this action to recover the value of certain of the bankrupt’s assets that were allegedly misappropriated. Named as defendants were Watts Detective Agency (“Watts”), the alleged recipient of the bankrupt’s assets; Consolidated Service Corporation (“Consolidated”), Watts’ parent corporation; Christopher P.
