This is one of a very large class of cases, presenting questions of conflict between titles derived from the State, under a sale of land as swamp and overflowed land, and titles or claims derived directly from the United States which, in consequence of the great delay that has occurred in definitely ascertaining the lands that inured to the State, under the Swamp Land Act of Congress of the 28th of September, 1850, promises to become still more numerous.
