TERRY, Associate Judge:

These cross-appeals arise from an action against Howard University by five former faculty members. The plaintiffs sought damages for breach of contract and for tortious interference with contractual relations. The trial court, after the conclusion of the plaintiffs’ case, granted a directed verdict for the University on the tort claims and some of the contract claims. On the remaining contract claims, the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiffs, and the court entered judgment on the verdict.
