TORRUELLA, Circuit Judge.
Invoking 42 U.S.C. § 1983, plaintiff-appellant Victor Medina-Claudio filed suit in district court alleging that the prison conditions under which he was housed in Puerto Rico violated his constitutional rights. His case was dismissed by the district court for failure to exhaust admin- istratiye remedies, as required by the Prison Litigation Reform Act of 1995 (“PLEA”), Pub.L. No. 104-134, 110 Stat. 1321 (1996).
Because we conclude that the appellant was required to first submit his claim to the prison’s internal grievance process, we affirm the order of the district…
