This is a declaratory judgment action brought by plaintiff Plymouth Farmers Mutual Insurance Association (Plymouth) to determine the rights and obligations of the parties under a contract of fire insurance for a home owned by defendant Linda Armour. The home was destroyed as a result of arson committed by Linda’s estranged husband, Robert Rasmussen. Plymouth argued before the district court, and urges on appeal, that Linda defrauded the company by falsely claiming title to the premises, thereby voiding coverage.
