In this case two appeals have been filed; one appeal, No. 19121 by the defendant; the second appeal by plaintiff in case No. 19282. These two appeals were heard and will be considered together.

The plaintiff as the administratrix of the estate of her *302father brought, an action for the benefit of the next of kin to recover damages for the wrongful death of the decedent. The case was tried on plaintiff’s third amended petition consisting of two causes of action.
