Appellant, who was convicted of the crime of perjury, prosecutes this appeal from the judgment of conviction and from an order overruling his motion for a new trial. The evidence shows that he was handed-a recall petition ashing for the recall of Supervisor J. W. Estill of Pima county, with the request that he circulate it for signatures. In time he returned the petition to the manager of the recall with some thirty-three signatures. The verification of the petition was before a notary public, and was in the following words:
