MEMORANDUM AND ORDER ON MOTION TO COMPROMISE

On December 13, 2001, the trustee, Roberta Carroll, and Joseph Carroll (collectively, the “Movants”) filed the instant motion to compromise this adversary proceeding. The proposed settlement involves a painting by Richard E. Miller known as “Women at tea, Giverny,” (the “Painting”) which was a component of a 1994 transaction between the debtor and the Carrolls and has already been the subject of extensive litigation before the court.
