MEMORANDUM AND ORDER
McNAUGHT, District Judge.
This matter comes before the Court on defendants’ motion to dismiss under Rule 8(a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, as applied to the Amended Complaint.
On November 20, 1986, plaintiff Anny Newman filed a complaint containing federal and state civil rights claims against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts — University of Massachusetts, Boston (“UMass, Boston”) (Counts I and II) and state common law claims against one Diana Burgin (Counts III, IV and V).
