Wallace Merle Haines, a boy twenty years old, while walking on the proper side of the road—(the left side, facing traffic: Skodis v. Phila. R. T. Co., 103 Pa. Superior Ct. 533, 537, 158 Atl. 587.)—was run into from behind by defendant’s automobile, driven by his agent on the defendant’s business, which swerved suddenly to the wrong side. He was severely hurt; was in the hospital with a badly broken left leg for thirty-nine days; walked on crutches for a year; since the accident his left leg is shorter than the right one. and he cannot turn his foot inwards.
