LEIBSON, Justice.
John P. Sklavos was discharged from his employment as a maintenance manager for the Pennwalt Corporation on September 24, 1987. Attorneys Frederic E. Michels and Nicholas W. Carlin filed a wrongful discharge suit on his behalf against Pennwalt in McCracken Circuit Court, which was later transferred on Pennwalt’s motion to the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
