This matter is before the Court on Defendant’s Motion for Summary Judgment pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 56. Ms. Walker sued Defendant, claiming that Defendant terminated her in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1981, and in retaliation for exercising her rights under the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act (“IWCA”), 820 ILCS 305/1 et seq.
