OPINION
MONTEMURO, Justice.
This is a direct appeal after remand from the judgment of sentence of death imposed by the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County following a resentencing hearing.
On July 10, 1987 a jury convicted Joseph Louis Young of two counts of murder in the first degree for the stabbing deaths of Dr. Ismail al Faruqui and his wife, Lois al Faruqui, in their Wyncote home. 1 A separate sentencing hearing was held and the jury returned a verdict of death on each of the two murder convictions.
