WATHEN, Justice.
The State appeals from an order of the Superior Court (Cumberland County, Brennan, J.) granting defendant’s motion to suppress all post-arrest statements made by defendant during the course of a murder investigation. The Superior Court found that defendant had twice “clearly and unequivocally invoked his right to remain silent” before his arrest and that police officers had failed to scrupulously hon- or his decision to remain silent by questioning him after his arrest.
