In this workers’ compensation case, Claimant-appellant Charles E. Zemis (Zemis or Claimant), employed by SCI Contractors, Inc./E.E. Black, Inc. (Employer), suffered injuries as a result of an assault by a coworker, Michael Gangloff. Zemis applied for workers’ compensation benefits, and the Disability Compensation Division (DCD) of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations granted his claim, holding that Zemis’s injuries arose out of and in the course of his employment.
