INTRODUCTION
Plaintiff Jose M. Velazquez (“plaintiff’ and/or “Velazquez”), brings this action pursuant to Title XVI of the Social Security Act (“Act”), codified at 42 U.S.C. § 405(g) claiming that the Commissioner of Social Security (“Commissioner”) improperly denied his application for disability benefits. Specifically, Velazquez alleges that the decision of the Administrative Law Judge (“ALJ”) who heard his case and denied his application was erroneous because it was not supported by the substantial evidence in the record.
