POLITZ, Circuit Judge:
Clayton Kimble and Jules Ron Kimbel, brothers who spell their name differently, were indicted along with three others in a four-count indictment arising out of illegal activities in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi prior to and during 1976. Following a 24-day trial, the jury found appellants guilty of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute, 18 U.S.C. § 1962(d), and conspiracy to violate the civil rights of Russell Griffith by murdering him, 18 U.S.C. § 241. 1 Sentenced to life imprisonment, the brothers appeal, assigning…
