This action was brought by plaintiff to recover from defendant a platinum ring set with diamonds, a gold brooch set with diamonds, and the sum of $2,890.28 alleged to have been loaned to her by plaintiff. The court found that he was not entitled to recover the brooch or the money; that the ring was given to defendant as an engagement ring; that defendant broke off the engagement with plaintiff and refused to marry him; that he was at all times ready and willing to marry her until she broke the engagement.
