COFFIN, Chief Judge.
Appellant was convicted of first degree murder in the Middlesex Superior Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and sentenced to life imprisonment. After his conviction was upheld on appeal by the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, Commonwealth v. Borodine, 371 Mass. 1,353 N.E.2d 649 (1976), he unsuccessfully petitioned the United States Supreme Court for a writ of certiorari.
