SANBORN, Circuit Judge.
This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of the plaintiff (appellee), the Illinois executor of the estate of Herman C. Becker, deceased, in a case involving the validity and effect of a written contract for the sale and delivery of 1,000 shares of the capital stock of Burroughs Adding Machine Company. Jurisdiction was based on diversity of citizenship, and the case was tried to the District Court without a jury.
