In this direct appeal by Jamaal Kenneth Abeokuto (Appellant) of his conviction by the Circuit Court for Baltimore County for first-degree murder (and other crimes) and the *299resultant primary sentence of death, we are asked to consider the following questions:

1. Did the trial court err in determining that Appellant’s waiver of his constitutional right to a trial by jury at the guilt/innocence phase was knowing and voluntary?
