JOHNSON, Judge.
Plaintiff raises on appeal the issue of whether the trial court erred by finding from the forecast of the evidence presented that no genuine issue existed as to any material facts regarding plaintiffs status as a general contractor, and granting defendants a summary judgment based on that finding. The judge’s role in ruling on a motion for summary judgment is to determine, based on the parties’ pleadings and affidavits, whether any material issues of fact exist that require trial.
