Knutson, Judge.

At the general election held in 1956, contestant and contestee were rival candidates for the office of representative from the fifty-second legislative district in our state house of representatives. Contestee received the highest number of votes. The election was held on November 6 and the county canvassing board completed its canvass of the votes on November 9. On November 19 contestant filed a petition with the clerk of the District Court of Cass County, in which county contestee resides, alleging that contestee had been guilty of serious violations of our Corrupt Practices…
