Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Sullivan County (LaBuda, J.), rendered November 5, 1999, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree (three counts) and petit larceny (three counts).

Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and three counts of petit larceny, based on his 1999 attempts to negotiate checks drawn on the bank account of his employer without authorization.
