Pursuant to a petition therefor, signed by more than fifty taxpayers and residents of the unincor porated village or town of Palos Verdes Estates, in Los Angeles- County, the board of supervisors by resolution enacted that on January 31, 1928, between the hours of 1 P. M. and 7 P. M., an election be held to determine whether or not a library district should be formed in accordance with the provisions of the act of April 12, 1909 (p. 815).
