*732Following the main charge, the jury requested the reading back of certain portions of the testimony and a written list of the elements of the crimes charged. The court told the jury that it could not provide them with the list but sua sponte offered pencils and paper to the jury, an offer which four jurors accepted, and stated "I can’t stop you from writing”. Thereafter, the requested portions of the testimony were read back, and the court provided a supplemental instruction which included the elements of the various charges.
