This cáse brings before the court for the first time the question whether an action in tort for the in-tentional infliction of emotional distress survives the death of the injured party. We hold that the action does survive. The plaintiff, administratrix of the estate of her deceased husband (Harrison), seeks to recover damages for the intentional infliction of emotional distress and resulting physical harm to her husband.
