Andrea Weickgenannt is a former Northern Kentucky University faculty member who filed a claim for gender discrimination under the Kentucky Civil Rights Act after she was denied tenure in 2007. The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the university, ruling that Weickgenannt failed to state a prima facie claim for gender discrimination because she could not prove she was qualified for tenure and she could offer no proof of similarly situated male comparators.
