Appeal (1) from a judgment of the County Court, Dutchess County, convicting appellant of criminal negligence in the operation of a vehicle resulting in death (Penal Law, § 1053-a) and sentencing him to serve six months in the county jail and to pay a fine of $500, and (2) from each and every intermediate order therein made. The motor vehicle, operated by the appellant in a northerly direction along a street in the City of Poughkeepsie, struck and killed a pedestrian.
