OPINION

MORGAN, Chief Judge:

Subsistence Specialist Third Class Campbell was tried by a general court-martial with members on 24 July 1979. He pleaded guilty to and was convicted of a single charge alleging desertion from USCGC BLACKHAW terminated by apprehension in violation of Article 85, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 885. The court sentenced the accused to be confined at hard labor for one year, to forfeit $400.00 per month for twelve months, to be reduced to pay grade E-l and to be discharged from the service with a bad conduct discharge.
