OPINION

KOCH, Judge.

This appeal involves a dispute concerning the sale of a one hundred-year-old Victorian house. The buyers, insisting that the extent of the house’s renovations had been misrepresented, filed this action in the Chancery Court for Giles County after the seller refused to make the extensive repairs they demanded. They sought rescission of the contract or damages. Following a bench trial, the trial court awarded the buyers a $42,000 judgment. Both the seller and the buyers have appealed.
