American Express Company, being engaged in what is termed financial and travel business, a part of which was the negotiation and sale of what is known as “American Express Company Travelers Cheques”, which cheques are purchased by the traveling public for tbeir convenience in securing cash at any place to which they may go, place such cheques with banks throughout the country for sale. The bank holds the cheques in trust for the American Express Company.
