Appellants Gene Gotti and John Carneg-lia appeal from judgments of conviction entered in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, John R. Bartels, Judge, following a jury trial, for racketeering conspiracy in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1962(d) (1988), narcotics conspiracy in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846 (1988), and possession of heroin with intent to distribute in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) (1988); and, in the case of Car-neglia, for traveling in interstate commerce to promote and facilitate the conduct of a narcotics business…
