MAHONEY, Circuit Judge:
This is an appeal from a final judgment of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Louis L. Stanton, Judge, entered on June 16, 1987 which dismissed plaintiff’s action and approved a $10,000 settlement agreement.1 The attorneys for the parties negotiated a settlement and reported it to the court by telephone.
