This is a petition for a writ of mandamus, brought by Simon Goldberg, who was enrolled in the classified list in the service of the Commonwealth. He was duly certified and regularly appointed to the position of painter at the Boston City Hospital. On February 3, 1925, he was taken ill as the result of lead poisoning, said illness arising out of and in the course of his employment.
