At about eight o’clock in the evening of June i, 1901, Wiliam W. Wilson, an attorney and agent of appellant, the Chicago Title and Trust Company, came into the hardware store of appellee, John M. Core, in Grand Ridge, in LaSalle county, in company with Edward St. Clair, a deputy. United States marshal, and W. M. Henderson.
