MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

DANNY C. REEVES, Disitrict Judge.

Defendant Rocky Miller has entered a guilty plea to charges of drug distribution and being an unlawful drug user in possession of a firearm. He is currently awaiting sentencing. The matter is pending for consideration of Defendant Miller’s motion for release for “exceptional reasons” under 18 U.S.C. § 3145(c). Although the Court concludes that it has jurisdiction to consider the Defendant’s request under this statutory provision, exceptional reasons have not been presented which would justify release.
