On April 18, 1936, a petition was filed in the office of M. L. Hunt, county superintendent of schools of Hamilton county, requesting that he order an election for the purpose of voting for or against the proposition to establish a community high school within certain territory particularly described. The election was held on May 2, 1936, and the district declared organized.
