An order was entered in the circuit court of Cook county quashing the writ of certiorari to bring up the record of the proceedings of the civil service commission of the city of Chicago showing the removal of appellee from the po- ' sition of second deputy superintendent in the police department of said city, which he held under the Civil Service law. An appeal was taken to the Appellate Court for the First District, where the judgment of the circuit court was reversed and the cause remanded, with directions to quash the proceedings.
