Complainant, Mrs. Anne Gray Palmer, executrix of the estate of Joe B. Palmer, deceased, filed ber original bill in this cause, seeking to recover from the defendant Love $1,-•258.16 account owing by said Love to Joe B. Palmer & Co., brokers.

Defendant Love answered and denied that he owed complainant or Joe B. Palmer & Co. anything, and alleged that if the books of said company showed any amount due by him, the amount so claimed grew out of a gambling transaction, representing losses resulting from speculating on the rise and fall of the market prices of grain, which transactions were in…
