I. Facts

These causes come before the court on the plaintiffs’ motions to strike portions of the contentions filed by defendants Mikhail Rabayev and Metropolitan Trucking, Inc. on February 11, 1987, specifically those portions relating to nonparty defenses. At the pretrial conference held in Cause No. S85-716 on February 12, 1987, the court deferred ruling on the plaintiffs’ motions to afford the parties an opportunity to submit written arguments and/or citations of authority for the issues raised by the motion to strike.
