These consolidated appeals are before this Court for consideration as on leave granted.1 Each case concerns the jurisdiction of the district court under MCL 600.8301(1) when a plaintiff presents evidence and argument of damages far in excess of the district court’s $25,000 amount-in-controversy jurisdictional limit.
