Defendant, William R. Bondi, was convicted by a jury in the circuit court of Franklin County on a charge of murder under section 9—1(a)(1) of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 9—1(a)(1)) and was sentenced to a term of natural life imprisonment.

On appeal defendant contends: (1) that the circuit court improperly denied his motion to suppress evidence seized in a warrantless search of defendant’s property, (2) that the prosecutor’s comments during closing argument deprived defendant of a fair trial, and (3) that the circuit court abused its discretion in sentencing…
